How many viejas would do well in a 210 gallon. I know they get large. Most of what I have so far in.the tank are sub adult and adult size. So far here is what I have.

Argentea
Synspilum
Pearsi
Breidhori
Will be adding a 9 to 10 inch melanura this week and hoping I am able to add two black belts that I have an.opportunity to get that are 10 to 12 inch with very nice color.

What.do you all think .

This is an all male show tank

Be very careful with argentea and Blackbelts both can evil. I'd say only one Blackbelt if any at all.

I was afraid I would hear that haha. I have heard that argenteas can get aggressive once they hit that 12+ inch mark so I will keep an eye out for that. My argentea is only around the 6 inch mark right now. So do you think it would be wise to pass on the black belts than

Ditto on the blackbelts. Their reputation for unprovoked aggression (especially) against other Vieja types is well deserved, even in tanks as large as 210 gallons.

If the black belts were 4-6 inches, and you could grow em up with the others, I'd take em. But to just buy a pair of 12 inch fish and plop em in a 210 with some 6-10 inch conspecifics? That's a very bold move indeed. Do you have another tank to put the BB's in if they go nuts?
