Its working for know all around 3"ish 4"ish aro is like 8" pretty sure in a few months will be thinning due to agression but in the end hopeing to keep fish in order listed, have extra tank always set up just in case. wanted to know what combos would be the likely outcome of these?
1 red terror
1 silver aro
1 freddy
1 tiger mota
1 firemouth
1 green terror
1 salvini
1 jd
1 texas
2 kribs
1 tiger barb
2 bala sharks

Yeah I know the kribs are actually a pair that had spawned but the green terror took the bites in order to get a bite to eat. he ate them all which I guess I didnt mind too much, tiger barb is like full grown i think its the biggest one ive seen had him forever shouldnt have put them in to cycle tried to catch him but doesnt want out so GL to him, so the aro will outgrow them all meaning definately he makes the list?

you will end up with a red tiger mota, a freddY, salvini, a texas and a red terror. that aro will get it once the small cichlids get more sure of them selves @ about 6" give or take some. unless that aro grows to fast then the tables turn. i think you would have better luck with a jardini aro instead of a silver.

funny you mention the jar I actually had to go back and trade the jar for the silver the jar was fine for four days then after feedings he'd start messing with everybody not really biting but like punking the others he was about 5" so traded him back in seeing he was already becoming a problem. Id be happy with the list you mentioned but hopefully the aro fits in guess ill just have to see yeah.

the aro will at some point eat some of the smaller cichlids, I'd remove the aro and hope for the best with the aggression between cichlids, hoping the more aggressive ones somehow get along, if not you will have a much more limited stocklist

i think it could happen under the right fish personalities, and how the tank is set up. lots of visual barriers, and lots of hiding places. i think it could work.

thanks I just hope I catch all before its too late plus my lfs will be happy with new fish lol

Texas and or RTM(if male) will grow a little faster than the other agressive guys and be top dog.But You may be alright with that size tank depending if the RTM is m or f and of course if the Red Terror makes it to full adult size it will own the tank
