Im interested in using stone blocks to build a stand for my 125g tank. Its only going to be about 24 inches off the ground and I figured the design would be blocks in all for corners with two in the middle topped with plywood. Each stone is 12 X 8 X 4 inches. Im wondering if anyone has had any experiance with this and if they would recommend doing it this way.

i think your biggest problem would be having the tank sit flat on top, what would you use to binde the rocks together?
I've used cinder blocks before. If you can get the stones level I don't see why it won't work. What exactly do you mean by 'stones'? Paving stones or bricks or cinder blocks?
