It's about 3/4", i/m worried i'm going to wake up with
125G water on my floor. Can i prevent it from spreading
would appreciate some advice?
Thanks

You are going to have a hard time preventing that from spreading. Any idea what caused it? I'd look into a new tank myself, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm sure someone will suggest putting silicone over it, I don't think that will help you at all in this situation.

As a side note, how thick is the glass? Does the crack go all the way through the pane?

Glass is 3/8"
I'm not sure what caused it, the tank's not leaking as the
crack is on the corner where the front and side panel are siliconed
together.

I was really hoping for a miracle fix but i also don't want to gamble...

Okay I think I was looking at it wrong but I really doubt it spreads being right there.. I see how long the cracked is but how deep into the glass is it?

Just keep an eye on the crack. I don't think it will spread. It could have occurred when the glass was cut. The bead of silicone in the corner will provide protection. I have a 90 gallon tank with a similar flaw in the glass. The flaw has been there for at least 25 years with no problem. Hopefully yours will be the same.

Thanks Guys
I was considering using a 1/8" diamond core drill bit
to prevent the crack from spreading any further but i thought i might make it worse.
Cheers

I'd say start fresh. It's never worth losing fish and damaging your home over a few hundres bucks for a new tank. 125 gallon isnt super rare.

I'd understand if it was a custom 500 gallon tank you wanted to salvage cause of the cost. However thay isnt the case. You can replace a 125 from kijiji or cl probably pretty easily and a lot cheaper than repairing damages to your floors and lost livestock.

Better safe than sorry.

The only way to stop a stress crack is by drilling a hole at it's leading edge. Not really an option on a glass aquarium. Time to start looking for a new tank.

It's in the corner and close to the edge, so it may not be problem. I would keep an eye on it and if gets longer, then worry.

You could try calling safelite or one of those auto-glass places. They repaired a crack in my windshield, might be worth a phone call at least.
