If you didnt know better you would think a cichlid did the digging . I know it by nature that pleco like to dig, but dame it annoying!

My old (now deceased) monster hyperagressive killer attack dog pitbull bristlenose plecostamus used to do this on occasion. I miss the plecostamus he used to clean the duckweed off my arms.
Soon all my places will be in a bare bottom tank too, easy cleaning and I dnt have to rearrange the gravels back to it original shape.
The tank is in the middle of my business, kinda like a show tank. I could do bare bottom but than I have to hear and answer Ton of question from customers.
Bristle nose pleco some of the hardest working pleco I know. R.I.P to your BN
I have all sand tanks and lots of plecos. I think it adds character to the tank when my plecos move the sand all around in the tanks. Helps keep them clean too
