Alright in my mbuna tank i have a yellow lab that has successfully held 5 times. 3 times with a zebra 2 with a rusty. The zebra is no longer around, and the rusty is on a constant track.

Will getting a female rusty or two help with this? I have already started stocking more labs but they are hard to sex.

Thankss

Not for sure... That is why hybrids are such a problem. The only real way to know for sure that your fish is pure is to have species tanks, or at most say yellow labs with a type of peacock or hap species.

Well as far as actual hybrids in the tank i have 4 lab/zebra crossed fish in there only because my girlfriend made me "save" them.

All the other times there were no surviving fry. Due to a persistent livingstonii. I think i might as well try a female rusty...

Just remember males like a lot of females, so he will easily be able to take care of both the rusty and the lab. Obviously the lab sees him as the dominate fish, so she is very unlikely to decide she suddenly likes the other labs better.

Anyways good luck.
