I need ideas on what kind of fish and meats I can buy at the store to feed to my caiman. I don't have a reliable source for feeder mice at the moment. I'm adding calcium supplement to his diet.

I hope that's a joke answer... anything cooked is a no go....
You want whole prey items, bones, organs and all.
you can usually get whole fish in bait stores sometimes in grocery stores. If you buy whole chicken they usually have the packet of organs inside but that's only some of the organs and it would be more nutritious to have all of them plus beak feathers etc. Muscle meat alone will be unhealthy in the long run so try to find a stable source of whole prey. Rodent pro and a number of other companies breed more than just rats and mice or rabbits and guinea pigs, they also have chickens and quail of various ages and sizes. a good mix of all of those would be best.

Saw this thread, but Sylvias beat me to my answer. It's always best to stick to whole prey items. If you feed it bits and pieces of animals and mess with supplements and all that stuff, you're trying to reconstruct the nutrition that they need, instead of just feeding whole, nutritionally complete prey. It's just much easier and healthier to do.

Not sure if this will help at all but have you checked out hare-today.com ? I just ordered a bunch of stuff from there for my tegu(apparently the rabbit is very popuar). They sell all kinds of ground up whole carcass(bones and all) foods as well as just whole feeders.
