I am just wondering where do fish stores order their tank racks and those huge central filtering systems?

I am considering of picking up a whole rack of something like 20 long tanks and breeding a whole bunch of smaller fish.

If your wanting glass aquariums, build a rack, drill holes in the tanks, get a a large aquarium for a sump/filter and plumb lines with faucet valves at each tank for water return. Very easy to do.

You can buy all in one set up but man are they pricey. I can email you pictures of how mine is set up if this would help.

I just do not have the time to be bothered, plus I am expecting some quality that I do not feel I can bring to the table. But I still would love to see pictures of your setup..

You could try Marineland they have them on their web site
Looks great! Exactly what I was looking for! Will contact them about the details.

More suggestions are welcome. :)

AllGlass Aquariums is a good company for wholesale tanks.

GlassCages.com makes nice tanks, and can drill holes..

For smaller tanks, QualityAngels.com has some nice tanks, and they drill holes as well, even in glass.

i have looked at them before and its a good 5g's for the 6ft section

for breeding in ones garage I'd get a Rubbermaid Water Trough as the central fill or build a pond liner box/pool. For a rack I'd got to one of those home improvement place and pick up a metal ones that adjust to fit. Make sure the wight factor of the tanks and go from there. I also found a few places that will make tanks in both glass and acrylic (they can be cheaper in bulk if you don't have a wholesale license) locally to your spec. They can build you an acrylic sump too. If you have friends in the business they may give you a "deal" or have some company drop ship an order of tanks, the shipping is where you eat the cost (since it's heavy and bulky).

If I recall those M.A.R.S. systems aren't cheap and they are limited in flexability but they are nice looking. Like having a shop display in your home. If that's the look you're after keep an eye out for shops going out of business or upgrading their system.

THat mars system is really expensive. You could hire someone to build you a system for much less. Drilling holes in glass aquariums is easy but you need a small drill press and a glass bit. (can not be tempered glass) I'll take some pictures and email them to you. I'd post the pictures here but when I try to, I get a message that says the file is to big and won't let it post. (any hints on how to fix that would be great)
