Hello; There used to be a good fish shop at the corner of north 56th street and Keystone Ave. I have not been in a few years but someone posted that it is still open a few months back. It is a few blocks north of the Indy state fairgrounds.

Yep, you're talking about The Reef Aquarium Shop. Good place to go with a random selection of oddballs every now and then. Other than that, there isn't much. Aside from petsmarts and petcos, we've got Uncle Bill's pet shops. They are scattered around Indy, but IMO they aren't worth going out of your way for.

You need to hit up The Reef and Uncle Bills, I've scored many a fish from these places, but my fish selection is usually large so I like a lot. I was last there in Dec, wasn't much around at Bill's when usually I take a boat load of fish home, I did get a nice RTM at The Reef. There is a new shop on the south on Indy, I forget the name but they post on CL all the time.

Went to reef. Amazing place with very friendly people. Snagged a butterfly, candy stripe, royal, and albino bristle with great tentacles. They bagged them up and put them in a styro box for the long drive home. Even got a free shirt from them. Classy spot.

There is also a new shop on the SW side of town, Inland Aquatics. They are based out of Terre Haute, but recently opened a store on the SW side of town.

Second, there is also The Fish Bowl off of Michigan. It has just been remodeled. Based off hearsay, it is worth the stop, although I haven't been there.
