Last night before falling asleep I noticed my ATF doing something weird. He was going along the tank and biting the walls of the tank. It looked like he was sharpening its teeth on the glass or something. Maybe his teeth itched? It was weird though. Anyone else see this kind of behavoir in their ATF?

unless your fish tank is made outta mirrors they aren't reflective. my sh does that sometimes but his teeth aren't as big or as obvious as an ATF so i dunno... no idea...

how big is this tank?

He is the size of my finger, so he has plenty of space so far in my 60 gallon. It really looks like he's trying to eat something off the glass. If I move, he stops doing it.

mine has never done that. s i have no idea. fish do wired stuff some times

I had one that used to do that. It would face the front panel of the tank and rub its jaws from side-to-side and then attempt to bite the glass. It would do that more when it was hungry. It scratched up my acrylic tank pretty good doing it too, but that should be a given. ATFs WILL scratch up acrylic tanks if kept long enough, its inevitable. Oh well, their worth it!
