Strange azul bass tank mate

This guy is big 10-12 inches.I have heard they get to 1.4 lbs.So i wait patiently with drawn butter.He originally went into the tank as food.I thought he got eaten up but found him living in the corner of my tank where he could be safe from the bass and huge poly endli's.Now a year later he rules the tank and goes where ever he wants.

Its not a blue but a Australian species that gets big.

It is a species of freshwater crayfish native to the rivers of north-west Queensland and the Northern Territory. Sometimes referred to as the Giant Australian Freshwater Crayfish due to the impressive size and meat yield. They have been known to grow to 250 grams.

That's one big tasty crayfish, congrats. In the time that you had him how often has he molted?

I think she has molted about 5-6 times.she has a good hole where she can molt and not get eaten.
