Alright well my 10g planted has an issue. It only has cherry shrimp in it. Yesterday I notcied something strange. There were small(no bigger than _ maybe __) flat worms crawling around.:WHOA: Then I noticed smaller bugs. they look like small beetles.:WHOA: they wont show up in pics.
What the heck are they? Are they harmfull?
And why wont my damn cherris have any young? they become berried then appear to lose them.

HELP!!!

no. they are almost see through. i dont know were they came from!!!

It sounds like a neamatoad, or type of flatworm, You get them from over feeding a tank alot of the time, or decaying material. without a picture i don't think anyone could give you a 100% answer. It "sounds" like they're not damageing, just ugly. and the presence of other inverts in your tank makes me lean that way. siphoning them out and keeping feedings to a minimum is generally the best way to erradicate them, 'specially with shrimp in the tank.

As for the cherry shrimp loseing thier eggs. What are your water perameters at? High PH, nitrites, ammonia spikes.. any of the above can cause shrimp to lose their eggs.

ph is 7, nitrates and ammonia normal. i dont know why they are
and i dont over feed. feed twice a week. rest of time they eat algae.

Actually, it's planaria. Overfeeding happens to be the biggest cause of shrimp deaths. Many people fail to realize this. The presence of planaria is evident there is something on your routine that needs to be improved before it is too late.

What is "normal" exactly? What about your nitrite? What do you feed your shrimps?

I feed some stuff that rachel(msjinkzed) suggested. cant remember what..... I foget what the test read. I ran out of strips after testing my tanks this last time. need to buy more. But they were good. Ill clean my tanks and see how they go. I dont think its the planaria. Ive had them before and these are larger. What are the other bugs? they look like beetles.
