I've had this guy for 6 months or so. Got him when he was just a wee lil fella. I had him in a 125 g with black substrate so his coloration was always very dark, which I liked. I moved him into a 29g with a female, and he lightened up a bit, and is showing a different color I've never seen before, kind of brownish yellowish. Kinda cool. Just thought I'd share.

Thanks gnome, the coloration on yours is much cooler.

Everyone thinks its a hybrid...

Mines color changes because of his mood. If he is relaxed he usually has some dark stripes but when there is a female present his stripes lighten up and he gets dark around the edges and looks all tough even though his nauchal hump is pretty small he can look pretty big. Right now I changed up his tank so he isn't too happy with me.

i like the color...but it might be just because he is a little stressed out on the down grade...

Yea, I suppose it could be that, but he doesn't seem too stressed. We'll see if the coloration stays or goes away. It could be a breeding dress too, like gnome suggested.
