I dont want to come across a total idiot. Iv only really kept larger cichlids and never really got into it as much as others, so my own info is limited to the fish iv kept.
I know cichlids are constant diggers, so im guessing the fact my "male" con is kind of pit digging in one area is normal? It hasnt paired with anything in the tank, so im just hoping this is kind of normal?
Again i do apologize to the people that will slap there forehead when reading this, im just a person that questions alot and as a result wants to learn alot too!

I think after all your posts you can stop calling it a 'male' convict. It is a male. And yes this is normal behavior.

It's not strange at all. Convicts, and basically all cichlids, are construction workers of their own right; they re-arrange the tank how they want it to look, not how you want it. It'll increase dramatically if you add the opposite sex in with them, and they pair up.
