If they are crispy, they are drying out and dying
Try covering it more and adding an airstone or sponge filter where you usually see eggs and they might survive and hatch.
Ahh that will explain it! I have 2 mystery snails. I had 3, no idea where the other one is :S

I only find the eggs just under the lid, out of the water. The heat from the lights is obviously drying them out. What do you think i should cover more?
