HI,

I keep finding orange coloured crispy balls around lid of my tank. They look like eggs or something, and i cant figure out what it is.

Can anyone identify this?

Mystery snail eggs!

The females leave the water to lay their eggs. Congrats.

they are good in a bowl with milk in the morning.

:barf:

If they are crispy, they are drying out and dying :(
Try covering it more and adding an airstone or sponge filter where you usually see eggs and they might survive and hatch.

Ahh that will explain it! I have 2 mystery snails. I had 3, no idea where the other one is :S

I only find the eggs just under the lid, out of the water. The heat from the lights is obviously drying them out. What do you think i should cover more?

Usually the ones on the outside will dry out but the ones inside will stay moist. So there will be some that hatch.
