lately ive been getting a e-mail that says its from the F.B.I. saying that my I.P. number has been logged on 30 different illegal websites and to contact a Steven Allison for further questioning immediately at first i ***** a brick but then i called the number and it was really the F.B.I. in D.C. they said they been getting alot of calls about this and that its fake luckily my comp blocked a virus from when i opened the first one im just wondering if any of you have been getting these and if you do this is a heads up

Hey Cuban Jey,

A few things to think of before opening mail:

1) If it has an attachment and seems even remotely bogus, delete it.

2) If the gov't really wanted to reach you, they will call or show up at your door, not send you an email. They don't even have time to respond to all the mail theft on Ebay, believe me they aren't tracking you.

3) A lot of emails from Ebay, PayPal, and other commonly used sites are asking for personal info, before ever putting anything in, realize that A) They will never ask you for personal info over email, & B) Go to the main site like you did with the FBI and call or look for a spam reporter (Ebay has a spoof@Ebay.com and you forward the mail on, and they let you know if it's fake).

Good for you for calling, glad you didn't get screwed with a virus.

i got that too.. it has an attachment with a virus.... its just spam
