I'm just seeing what other people have gotten theirs to eat. Needless to say it causes frequent water changes, but my bullhead has been given the following (not just by me) as treats

-Hotdogs (I used them as bait when he was caught and he still likes them on a rare occasion)
-bread
-lunchmeat
-earthworms
-any shape or form of pellets, sinking OR floating (his main diet)
-feeder minnows (also fed reasonably often)
-the plant that I stupidly put in his tank
-spaghetti (I saw a vid of a RTC eating this too, lol!)
-lettuce
-tomatoes
-A whole chunk of freeze dried bloodworms, whole, before it even hit the bottom of the tank
-shrimp (cooked, thawed)
-chicken (cooked)

Anyone else?

Whoa.......And he's still doing ok?

Get your flame suit on...

man i fed my pictus pims:
earthworms, any bug i could find, any fish food i could find, all the feeder species i could find, powerbait, salmon eggs, a small meatball, chicken, shrimp, swordfish steak, shark steak, tuna, salmon, channel cat fillets, bass fillets, sunfish, roast beef, and they would eat the peel of the squash i put in the tank for the pleco and his lettuce if it got really soggy. they lived for 7 years and even bred once, so it must have not been too bad...

hah...as I said, most of that was not by me. I kept him in the dining room for a while and my family kept feeding him stuff. Out of that the only things I've given him are the pellets, cooked boiled chicken, earthworms (He loves 'em!), bloodworms, feederfish, and the plant that was not meant to be a food item :) Oh, and the hotdogs, he was wild caught too so that was the bait I was giving him...the hook took out his eye and I felt bad (it later turned out to not be his eye but right below it) He's doing great though, he started out at 4in and he's already gone to 6, I'm looking to upgrade to a bigger tank when I get back to school. He's the first monster I've had...I actually had to learn the hard way that YES, bullheads are poisonous, and NO, you should not try to unhook them with your hands.

Weirdest thing any of my cats eat is banana my rtc likes them. And they all like the tad poles I found.

My bullhead ate a moth today...:nilly:
