I'm taking care of my boyfriend' tanks while he is working in Germany. We have 2 a 210 and a 90 breeding tank and holding tank for some baby apple snails. The 90 has developed a white sting like algae or fungi, I'm not sure what. Does anyone know what this might be and if I need to do anything to get rid of it, and if so what. It's mostly in and around the overflow box.

Hiya spooky, welcome to MFK, I have never seen what you are describing, could you post a pic?

Yes although most of it is in the overflow and growing up from the bottom. I bought some fungus clear by Tank Buddies, and that seems to be clearing it up. I might have to do another treatment, none of the fish or snails have it. Any other suggestions?

i gave the fungi treatment the 4 days, but now what ever is in there is back with a vengence. i am currently doing a water change preparing to retreat. this tank only has one guppy and a ton of apple snails in it. any suggestions please, I'm trying to get this tank ready as a breeding tank for my bigger one. im at a loss to what to do.
