Hey Guys,

I have noticed a strange fungus on one of my kelberi, I've attached pics.

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10-20
PH 7.5

I run a HMA auto drip so PH is high, same as my tap water, the fish have lived in this PH for years.

No change with the tank, no new additions, stopped feeding however around 1 week ago and since has developed this fungus.

Last night I treated with malachite green, I also have methylene blue which I was considering bathing the fish in.

Any ideas or advice?

Pimafix isn't available in the UK, what is it?
I've used both salt and water change, as mentioned the tank has a HMA water change unit constantly dropping in

Be careful malachite and salt together is not a good mix. This mixture will burn the fish and may cause it to drop it's slime coat.
Malachite alone is the best treatment for this condition. Treat every other day with WC in between. Will kill the biological though.

I used the salt before adding chemicals Kendragon then i flushed it all on the drip.

I will try and water change tomorrow then and then malachite the following day, the bio load is quite small at the minute and the water volume pretty good so hopefully the bio will hold up but i'll monitor parameters and reduce feedings.

Pima fix is readily available in UK.
Usually next to melafix on the shelf

Ahh yes I can get pimafix - is there a more concentrated solution of this?
I have to treat 700 us gallons, that's going to be super expensive treatment to treat daily for 7 days.

It is 5ml per 10 us gallon
For me that is 350ml per day
X 7 days is 2.45L
That's 10 bottles = £80/$120

Anyway for you to put the bass in a smaller tank until it's healed? Or just drain the tank to as low as it will run to lessen the gallons of water to treat. They sell pond size bottles of this stuff.
