Hey Guys,

Well I moved my little puffer out of the main tank because I noticed many white spots on his fins, so I asumed it being ick so he is in the hospital tank noW. Also as I was looking for my eel who I finally got him to eat I saw a weird clear mucus streched on two rocks. Are those selected rocks still cycleing? Is it a parasite? Or maybe partcles of dead meals? Dont Know:screwy:

i have seen that stuff before not sure exactly what it was but it started growing on my fish i had at the time and it just kinda covered them and hung off them and eventually killed most of them off one by one the way i got rid of it was by adding more aquaruim salt and raising the temp in my tank for a week or so is your tank fresh or saltwater cause my occurence was in a freshwater tank

it could be mold, do you have alot of water circulation?

What do you mean b water circulation? I'm a little retarted lol.

Basically, in a marine tank, you don't want any "dead" spots (pun intended). That is to say, you want water movement everywhere as much as possible, including in all the crevasses in your live rock formations.

This helps keep the bad guys from building little armies.

I don't mean you need a torrent of water everywhere but at least a slight current. Of course depending on the livestock, some animals love a torrential current and others as little as possible.
