so ive successfully switched my jaguars onto massivore, but my common pleco absolutely LOVES this stuff.. as soon as i feed he comes flying out from under his log and starts devouring the stuff. is this a good staple for a pleco? lol

Probably not although it is loaded with vitamins.Something more geared to herbivorous fish rather than predatory fish would be better.

My plecos eat what ever pellets or flake I feed my cichlids, one is 12 years old and the other is 8 years old.

I've kept plecos forever...many many species and I've never feed them anything special honestly ive never intentionally feed my plecos anything they just eat whatever's left over in the tank from me feeding the other fish and I've never ever seen ill effects so honestly I wouldn't worry about it at all especially if its a common pleco they're like moving trash cans lol my big sailfin pleco would eat fish fillets with my peacock bass

common plecos are pretty omnivorouse... I found giving the ones I had a nice wide range of foods works.. and tbh most fish will eat things that they need/crave.. so the massivore may have some vit/min he's been missing ect... and not much you can do to discourage him anyways lol. I would think it would be "bad" if he didn't have DW to chew on, or veggie offerings every now and then. Even my cichlids use to love fresh zucchini ect.

Anything is a good staple for plecos. I had a common grow from barely 1" to 3" in little under 3 months but I was feeding carnivore pellets

well thats the thing, being so new to eating massivore the jaguars dont like it until it sits for a minute or two and gets a little softer. by then the pleco has eaten probably half of it... i used to feed algae wafers to him but ever since the massivore started going in he wont look twice at the wafers

I used to feed separate. Put the Plecos food on one side once he goes for it drop alittle more on the other side of the tank for the jags. That worked well for me

Can't imagine it being harmful, there's plenty of vitamins in that stuff. If he loves it why not lol
