It started about 2 weeks ago:
My 8+ year old common pleco(Hypostomus Plecostomus) was hanging out at the front of the tank instead of his hiding spot. Then last week I found him dead. After studying the tank that day I noticed 2 of 6 giant danios had fin rot/fungus on them. The next day they died. Then the third day my 5inch albino chocolate pleco died. Sad to say we were very busy with getting a new car so I couldn't clean the tank.
At the end of the third day my other 2 common plecos(5-6inches) started looking bad. I finally got a window and did a 50-60% water change along with filter overhauls.
Now about 3 days later the two plecos are looking better(got their color back).
Unaffected by this are clown loaches, cories, cherry barbs, goldfish and a big bala shark.
The tank(75) has been running for over 7 months and never had any issues before. Had average tank cleanings.
I plan to do another 50% change in a few days even though things are looking better now.
