Hello everyone!

For the past week my lutino has been catching my attention. He has been getting these random but frequent ''twitches'', no out of control swimming just a head shake like he was receiving a slight shock.
My other O. Oscar is behaving normally, except for that fact that he is being attacked by George the lutino.
I'm glad that Oscar has started to defend himself after 5 days but still I am a little concerned.
They still sleep together, do their thing like they usually do, but when George gets his ''twitches'' he guns for Oscar. There have been no changes to the tank (decorations or maintenance) he/she just got these twitches overnight.
Here are my water parameters:
ph:7.2 Am:0.25 Nitrite:0 Nitrate:5 the water temp. never goes above 26c. They are temporarily in a 80gal. tank.

Oscar does have wounds on him but nothing serious, have any of you ever experienced this?

Here is a video of the ''twitch'', it is of oscars preparing to spawn. Keep your eyes on the right one. It does the same twitch a few seconds in the video.

Thank you very much, any info will help!

When I first transferred my Mala Wolf to my 180 tank, I witnessed the same behavior from him whenever my old 2" Silver Aro would swim close to him. He would float in the middle of the tank and shake from side to side. I knew it was some sort of aggression display, and thankfully it never escalated.

My Mala doesn't do it any more, at least not any times that I've been able to witness. I posted a similar thread a few months back and never got any feedback. I hope you have a more luck than I did.

On a brighter note, your fish a beautiful and your tank look very nice as well from what I can see in the video.

Thank you for the reply John,
The video is not of my fish. They are very beautiful though, I just posted the link to show the ''twitching''.

If thw twitching is like this in the vid, it is display behaviour...are they a couple or same sex?

This twictching, as shown, is no disease.

I have no idea on the sex. I'm thinking of adding a slate to see if any mating behaviour arise. The red oscar that is being picked on now, was also picked on by my wild o, which is in another aquarium.
