My mom is worried everytime I go and get tanks for fish.Yes I still live at home(I'm 20).

I can see her point because I don't technically know the people I get tanks/fish from. I would trust most people on MFK but you never really know.

So do you worry about this when getting tanks/fish from others on MFK/craiglist?

take a couple of large friends and/or a dog in the car/van with you. that would increase your safety factor but other than that there isnt much you can do without breaking the law and carrying a weapon.
if your carrying cash with you going to get/look at tanks your always taking a risk.

i dont worry about it because i dont go to peoples houses to collect stuff. i always pick a public place to the exchange of cash for goods. very few will attack you in broad daylight in a public place. i use supermarket carparks near the entrance.

if your going to pick up a tank and your feeling odd baout the person just take someone with you... usually need help moving it anyway. but you should deff pay attention to your surroundings anytime your anywhere with people you dont know.. there all wierdo's in every state....

IDK there are some crazies out there.

I'm going to Findlay tommorow to pick up a tank(2.5 hrs away). I'm also taking my cousin even though(no offence to him) he couldn't kill a fly even if it had no wings.

I'm not worried. I'm not stupid and going to go 9pm at night or anything like that. I try to be smart about it.

I have never worried. Although I have left a Buy/sell/trade Asking myself who the hell did I just deal with.

I have dealt with two people that I don't even there names. that's not something to worry about but It's rather rude.

I wasn't worried about getting the raphael from you. You seemed like a nice normal guy, lol. Had decent post count, had pics of fish etc. on MFK, so I hoped you weren't a . Mr. Raphael is still alive and kicking even though it hides 24/7.

Sweet glad to hear he's doing good. I wish I could say that for all the fish I've sold. I only hear from about two people that I've sold stuff to.

But yeah My dealing with you were good. but like I said I've delt with some that didn't even give me a name. It was here's your money where's my fish. lol

i think your MOM.. is just being a MOM.. and you sound like the kind of guy.. who at least gives thought to what your mom is saying... just like Jamie mentioned.. heed the warnings and the surroundings ..and if it doesn't sound right or feel right..trust your inner vibes that it probably isn't right.. use this for all the things in your life..and you will be fine...... it only takes one bad person that ruins it for the other honest 99% .. but they are out there....
