I am probably just being paranoid: So I set up my 125g Saturday (yes the filters were well cycled before the tank set up). Since then I have slowly been moving my fish in. I have my African pike and several wide bar silver dollars in he tank now. I added two more last night. Since I have gotten up this morning the fish are confining themselves to essentially one corner of the tank. I am not sure if they are still "acclimating" to the new tank and it is a stress thing, but I always worry about a stray current. I can't feel one in the tank. I have tried turning the two heaters off and rearranging them into the corner the fish are in. No change. I am also running two AC 110s and an Fx5. Is it possible for one of them to put a current in the water even though the motors are outside the tank? I think my local LFS has two severums I would like, but am hesitant to go pick them up right now. Then again it could be a good test;)

also can't resist here is a picture of the tank in progress. I have been putting off setting it up because I am trying to buy an apartment and move. Just couldn't wait any longer.tank.jpg

You might try covering the back side of the tank with something dark. Maybe they will feel a little more comfortable. Most likely their just feeling timid if all of the water perimeters are normal. I don't think a current is going to wash them on to one side. I have a pretty strong current in my tank and my fish all seem to be able to swim against it fine.

thanks guys. I figured they probably "hiding." Just didn't want to take any chances with a stray current. More for my personal safety and the safety of my house then anything else. Just thought it was odd that the hiding didn't start until today.
