Stress coat expired? How bad

Just added a tiny bit to my 40 gallon and it's expired since 04/13 didn't realize obviously! What do I do? Only a flowerhorn in there for a grow out

Wouldn't worry, just get new for next time if you must use it. Good water is more important.

+1. Your fishes actions will show if it is that bad. Also with it being just 40 gallons... You could do a 50% water change and everything should be fine.
