New poly is shedding like crazy on her second day of pg in a small 20 gal qt.
Could it be columnaris bacteria or just stressed.

Probably stress. Most polys won't get these kind of bugs. Keep the salt, water and pg. It'll all slough off and once it stops then you're good to go.
hope its just stress. I know that tank is almost the same size as that poly. it needs to get to the bigger tank.

Hope she feels better. That sucks that the 40 leaked. Glad you had the 20 though. I don't have any knowledge on what to do, but I like the ideas everyone's mentioned about the salt and dimming the lights.
