Stressed dovii

My dovii I recently got from Gage from cichlid connection, is still stressed. I got him tuesday and he isnt swimming much he lays down on the bottom of the tank most of the time hiding behind a rock. I got a pair female is about 7 inches male is about 12 inches. Female is more active but male still isnt what can I do to help him out?

I have a male jag thats about the same size as him that chases him a bit. You think I need to take the jag out for a while to let him get use to the tank?

Its a 125 gallon but im in the process of getting a bigger tank now. Do you guys think I should take the jag out to give him some time to get use to the tank?

If the jag has been in there first its most likely that it will stress the new dovi out. When fish are moved they endure a huge amount of stress to begin with especially in new places. I would take that jag out so the dovi can get used to its surroundings. Jag's can be very very aggressive as soon as the lights go out !
