I went on a trip for a week and a half and mid trip my friend told me my aro was staying at the bottom of the tank and was very skittish/not eating (all other fish were just fine). Before I left water parameters were perfect and never had any probs with the fish/tank. Aro swam up top, ate well...etc. So I get back from the trip and see that the pH dropped to about 6.2-6.0. I believe it was because of the driftwood but I didn't have drops like that prior to me leaving. My aro still stays at the bottom most of the time but just started to come out to eat a week after I arrived back. Water is now pH-6.8-7 ammonia-0 nitrite-0 nitrate-10-15ppm.
My aro only eats off of the bottom of the tank and stays close to the bottom if he swims. He also stays at the bottom corner most of the time although my other fish act normal. Is this due to stress to the drop in pH? Do I just raise the water temp, add salt, and wait it out? Anything else I can do? I added some stress coat too but it gets expensive. It's been about a week and a half since my return.
Tank is a 125g with 2 fluval canisters and 2 emperor dual biowheels. Driftwood has been taken out since arrival.
