Just for fun... these were shipped to me by mistake and had not eaten yet so I fed them some easy to eat food (won’t do this very often given the adverse effects of feeding roseys since fathead minnows are high in thiaminase). They weren’t super interested in the platys I put in although out of the two I only saw one after 24 hours. The roseys on the other hand... they didn’t have a chance. Super aggressive eaters, surprised they didn’t tear some of them in two!

By the way, I have no intention of keeping them and put them into the only available tank I had ready to go. Hoping they are gone soon despite how neat it is watching their feeding behavior.

Cool little guys, you said you got them by accident, can you explain that?

well I hope you got your money back, at least for the fish themselves, good luck selling the little guys :).

Thanks, wish I had room for them but I don't have any tanks that they could go in. Only tank that would be remotely suitable for the short term is a 75 gallon 5' long tank that my Mata Mata turtle is in. They would definitely out compete him for food, though, as I stock it with miscellaneous tetras and other smaller Amazon fish to feed him and they would probably eat them all before he could (I keep a very high density and make him hunt for his food, usually restock when it gets down to around 50 fish or so and I bump it back up to 200-250).
