I was just wondering what the growth rate of striped raphael cats was, since i mioght get one when i go to get an ABK. thanks in advance!

Honestly, I have no clue.
I got one at 2" and 18 months later when I did some major redecorating in the cat tank I found it. It was a fat hog at 6" or so.
I'd thought it had died. Apparently I had such a great hiding place he only left to eat when it was dark. Pretty little catfish that I still have today. He's been with me for a little over 3 years now.

Non-existent is their growth. I have a 5 incher for like 9 months now and he hasn't grown at all. I think if their in a smaller tank with food readily available they could grow but in a larger tank with other "big" fish they won't go out as often.

I got one at less than an inch and about 6-8 months later he is about 4 1/2 inches. He has slowed down growth wise quite a bit. Doesnt seem to eat quite as much as he used to though. The biggest rapheal that i ever saw was about 9 inches and as fat as a softball at a LFS and he wasnt a giant rapheal either.
That's a big Raphael :-O I got my 4 in November 07' at 1". Their stomachs stay fat all the time but after 20 months the biggest one is only 5" and that even counts his tail. Real super slow growers but for some reason I just love mine and would never part with them.
