On Monday (February 10th) I transferred my sailfin pleco and striped raphael catfish into my 75 from my 30 tall. The pleco is fine and acting normal but my raphael hasn't eaten since I put him in which as of now is 6 DAYS! Take it my rainbow shark (who is now quarantined) was eating slime coat off him since Wednesday or Thursday but he won't bug him now since the shark is in a breeder net at the top if the tank until I give him to my friend on March 1st. I have tried to feed the cat everything under the sun that I own: flake, shrimp pellets, algae wafers, and frozen bloodworms but he won't touch ANY of them. I know it takes them a while to acclimate and maybe they won't eat at first but I have never seen a fish take more than 3 days before giving in to hunger. I leave the algae in over night and the shrimp pellets and they ARE gone in the morning though my sailfin pleco eats them as well and normally my raphael is a diurnal feeder. What should I do for him, just wait and give him time or something else?

30 water parameters:
temp: 78 F
ph: 7.6
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 60 (I'm doing water changes a lot more now so it's going down)

75 water parameters:
temp: 76 F
ph 7.6
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 5

Catfish can go weeks without food. I was told 3 months on my thread where my red tail hybrid would not eat... I would not worry yet...

May be feeding at night when u r not looking. Mine rarely eats during day.

they are a little jittery ,,,give him a few more days ,,maybe feed after lights out:)

Well maybe a little better tonight. He keeps taking in the shrimp pellets but spits them out in about a second. I will try feeding after dark again tonight.

sounds like hes hopefully moving in the right direction. at least trying to eat now.

Yesterday he sucked on a piece of algae wafer for a while but them flipped out and fought my sailfin pleco for the plecos territory for 5 minutes before giving up and hiding somewhere else not eating for the rest of the night.

Haven't fed yet today but if he doesn't eat again tonight then it will be 11 days without eating now :(. I thought maybe he was stressed from the lack of good hiding spots so I remodeled the tank a bit but he just flipped out and is recovery under a driftwood cave where he is only HALF hidden rather than the new spot I made (directly next to it I might add) where he would be completely covered and hidden from me unless I looked in from the side.

Is there anything I can do to get him to eat? I've tried flake, shrimp pellets, algae wafer, and frozen bloodworms he won't swallow any.

how can I get him to move into his new spot until I pick up a new piece of large driftwood with digits for him to hide in?

he also looks semi ill, which may be from not eating so overall what should I do to help him in general. And please don't tell me not to worry since I don't want my favorite fish to die.
