Has anyone kept any Stripers before?

i would love to have one their teeth are like sand paper An i love how the stripes look. Cant find anything online about ppl keeping them.

i can get them at 3-5" sw bred, so they might outgrow anything you put them in...

I've kept the yellow striper (Morone mississippiensis) which is a smaller full freshwater riverine species.

Stripers aren't suitable aquarium fish for very long even in a monster tank. Much like the old adage about strippers: It's okay to date them, just never marry one.

Why not? I kept 3 pairs in a 350gal for over 4 years (tried tank breeding) with no problems. One grew to 16-17" and the others steadied up at about 15". No problems beyond the usual percoid territorial squabbles.

Dont they get up to 3-4 feet? And thats in YEARS i belive.

The yellow stripers max out at about 18".
