Greetings all, anybody have any experiences with this species that they can share? Can't find anything online or even here on MFK. got a small one from fugupuff last month. The only issue I've had is feeding. It ate 2 dithers, but I haven't personally seen it eat, i assume it was the one that ate the fish as nothing else in the tank has a mouth big enough. Offered frozen silverside and clams, and even resorted to attempting live feeder fish to no avail. Not necessarily worried, as I've had new eels go month plus before eating, but still trying to see what it might take.

Here is a pic couple weeks old..very reclusive character. Reminds me more of ribbon eels and snake morays in that regard more than the outgoing Caribbean Gymnothorax morays that got me into keeping eels
Update....Finally ate a silverside. Very relieved that I could stop trying to feed it live food. its mouth is massive compared to body girth...reminded me of watching a snake eat in that regard.
