I decided to change back over to salt... So as I take HOB filters off to clean I find that one of my top braces on my 150 had become broken. I think it happened when my 16" aro jumped out. I had large stones on the glass covers to try to keep that from happening... he was a strong one.
Dose this weaken the tanks integrity? Or could I just repair the brace to support the glass covers and lights.

that brace dosent look like it was broken by a fish. its actually coming apart not breaking. if it were broken in the middle i may feel a bit better, but from the location that brace is tearing right from the side, i dont have a warm fuzzy feeling about your tank what so ever.

definatly read through that thread, and whatever way you decide to fix it, make sure you do it as good as possible. you got alot of water being held back there that you dont want all over your house

New tank frames are not all that expensive either. Compare the cost of a new tank frame to the possible cost of water damage to a house or the cost of lost fish.
