In a 10g tank w/wife n kids
Got this 12" bahia kel almost 3 weeks ago and it has not eaten anything yet. I understand with most fish it'll take a few days for new home adjustment but this is just bizarre. It looks at me and wags it's tail like any other wet pet, that begging for food look but when I drop in the food sticks, fd krill or mp it just swims away and it opens and close its mouth like it wants to eat. Any suggestions?

Try bloodworms, and if that doesn't work you may have to offer some feeders and pellet train it. What are its tankmates? btw if that's a recent pic its nowhere near starving so he'll be ok.

Try target feeding with massivore. Throw one pellet in front of him. The sudden hit into the water may generate his attack mode. He is a well fed fish so it ate good prior.

I tried that but will definitely keep trying. The massivore drops in front of it gently swims past. I was told it was fed food sticks and mp before I bought it so I have those on hand to. Just patiently waiting for his attack mode to kick in.
