I recently sold all but one of my tanks along with most of my fish. all that remains is 25 clown loaches 1-3"ish, a clown pleco, a hoplo catfish and a 5" severum. i keel them in my 65 (36"x18"x24') with a 300watt heater at 81* and an FX5 slighly cut back just biomedia and mechanical media. I brought home 6 new clowns about 40 days ago, all oddballs, and of course most have worms. as of right now, i see 4 that are getting skinnier. I have been feeding thawed bloodworms in about 30ml of water and about 1ml of Prazipro, stir and sit for 15 min. they eat it up quickly but it doesnt seem to be helping. i throw in NLS cichlid pellets, algae waffers and tropical fish crisps inbetween feedings. I feed bloodworms one day, something else the next. This has always worked with my skinny clowns but not this time. any suggestions?

that much is obvious, im wondering what to do about these lingering parasites

I used API general cure and it worked extremely well. I kept feeding them pellets all the time throughout the day and followed the instruction and they were fat in 2 weeks.

Sounds like they still have internal parasites.

Agreed. For some odd reason many people seem to confuse nematodes (which are worms) with endoparasites. Not only are they different forms or pathogens, the medication used to treat them are completely different. Skinny disease is usually caused from internal parasites, typically spironucleus, not nematodes.

If your fish are still eating then treating for internal parasites such as spironucleus is relatively easy. See following link for more details.
