There is all kinds of threads under peacock bass and even a sticky that go into great detail on ways to pellet train your cichla bro. Go check em out. I have over 30 cichla and they all eat pelletes and cut baits...NO live foods.

starve the other pbass. dont give in. mine stubbornly refused to eat for a month maybe more. no feeders. if you have other fish in the tank that are ferocious eaters it helps too. the pbass should associate u with a feeding frenzy. hold the food above the tank for a while before feeding. start with frozen silversides or smelt. wait until he sees u and drop it in. thaw it first. if it odesnt work try throwing it in the filter outflow so it looks like a live injured fish. still doesnt work. starve him again and try everyday. eventually he will go for it. then u can drop the silverside and a pellet after and alernate. or if youde like after he hits the frozen food like crazy stuff the silverside with pellets. then eventually he should hit anything u throw in. :) btw mine now eats anything frozen.

Thank you for the help. Are you saying starve my pellet fed one as well ? Yes i had a scare with the live food one 2 weeks ago so she been off food for 2 weeks already i am woried she will get sick if she dont eat

The other one u could feed like normal. feed the tank like normal obviously the stubborn pbass will not eat so he will be the only one starving but its good that he keeps seeing the feeding response from the other fish. it isnt going to get sick from not eating. small pbass are alot easier to pellet train than larger ones. i got my stubborn guy at 7" and he starved for almost two months before taking smelt. talk about stubborn. if u look at the advanced section there is a section labled cichlids theres a sub forum labled cichla and there is a sticky in there. im sure someone can paste the link here.
