So I unfortunately don't have any pictures :(, but I can't get over these bichirs I saw. The tank is labeled "marbled bichirs" and they are $55 a piece.

The thing is though, they look NOTHING like typical endli bichir babies. Even though they are only ~2.5-3", they are EXTREMELY fat and stubby.

Take the babies in that vid, except half the length and TWICE the width at least, the head width was pretty much the body width, and the head width was wider than the ones in that vid.

They looked a lot like the "prehistoric monster fish" or something, I passed by the tank twice, because I didn't think the short, stubby fish was a bichir til I looked closer. They seriously look like a bichir "stub".

I looked at short bodied bichirs, and they don't look like that, they have a fairly even thick width, it doesn't narrow much at the tail. They are very healthy though.

I'll try to get pictures sometime, but anyone have any insight on these fish?

I found this pic on MFK, take him/her and "cut" their body in half, then ~1.5-2x the width, that's exactly what they look like.

How long do you think it would get? Better question, would 1 be okay with 2 baby sens, and 1 peacock eel in a 75 gallon? If not life, would they at least be comfortable for a couple years?

So after finding this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?387384-My-baby-bichirs, I'm thinking maybe "captive farm bred" and possibly short body? Theirs looks really similar, but the ones I saw are a tad wider and a little shorter as well. (Sorry to DP), but they don't look like typical short bodies. I'll try to get pics, last time they didn't allow any though. :/

I dont know the max size for short bodies, i hadnt been lucky enough to find them in the past. I dont think the peacock eel would last past a year in the same tank as an endli especially if it grew like mine.

Oh very good point, I forgot about the endlis could eat my Mushu! (my peacock eel). I'll just stick with sens and *maybe* delhezis then :) I definitely don't want my eel to get ate, and judging by their girth as babies, that would be a possibility as adults, same with eating my sens probably too at the size they are now.
