Stuck Net

I got a new ray today and during transport the net got tangled with the stinger. We cut the net and left a small piece attached to the ray. What should I do about this? If I recall, I should just leave it alone and it will fall off on its own. Am I correct?

That's what I've been waiting on for the past month. I was going to cut it off but my ray is a bit aggressive LOL.

Yeah be patient it will lose the stinger soon enough, You need to get flat koi net to handle rays something that has slight bowl shape to it alomost flat.

That's what I used, it didn't work

He nailed it. He's a mean SOB. I want to get one of those rubber nets

well, at least you will see the stinger on the bottom with ease

Thanks for the reassurance! I got a nice Motoro. I'll post pics in a few days once he settles in. He's actually eating like a villain at the moment. He single handed eats more than my Tig, bichers, gar, and aro do on their own. I almost forgot what its like to have a ray like this.

t g same thing just happened to me i couldnt get it off...poor thing was hanging upside down by the stinger...stinger is strong though i pulled real hard on my net and it came off the stinger didnt budge
