Stumps/Roots in Aquaria

Has anyone used or can give me an example of what this might look like?
There is a old dead tree in the creek by my parents house im thinking about getting the roots/stump past out of.

just be sure to clean the crap out of it, you dont want to bring any new disease or parasites in to your tank. i used boiling water in my bathtub to do my stump

Yeah If I do get it that was the plan
If it works out like I think it will in my head its gonna be really dramatic looking and offer protection for the verts and feeders in my tank in the roots. Like I would like to get even the really fine roots if that is possible.
Come on guys someone has to of done this before. Any examples?

Lets see tanks with stumps, roots, and big pieces of driftwood. Actually thinking about redoing my tank way more blackwater style.
