Stunned

hey guys, ever seen those monster fishes in LFS that are placed in a small tank for quite a long time...?

i'm pretty sure most of them are stunned... anyway, will they still grow if i bought them and placed them in a bigger place? or will they stay at that size and become feeders once the fishes their size grows...?=/

c'mon guys help out can stunted/stunned fishes still grow provided they are place in bigger tank and are taken care of properly?

A stunted fish will grow, but not to it's full size and may have problems later in life such as crooked spine.

i saw a silver arowana the same length as a 1ft tank at an lfs!
it was the length of its own tank!
i felt so bad i was going to get it but i only had a 4 foot tank so i didnt think it was fair.
it was sold the day after so its good. somebody else mustve felt sorry

Their growth may have slowed down, but they can still grow normal.

Like ewurm said they do gorw again but they might not reach their potential.
