I like the fact that he is boss of the rest in the tank and has a baby nuchal hump already. And yes his color should stay the same or better as long as your water is good and keep him healthy since his genes already look nice n he's tinyThat's a nice looking fish! I wonder if he would keep his color as he gets older.
Yes they can be beautiful fish, I had a pair 7 years ago and i enjoyed keeping them. They can get pretty nasty though live up to their names "terrors"Cute! I picked up a baby one too at the lfs about a month and a half ago. He brings so much life to my 90 gallon tank. I think he is the smartest fish in there too. You stick your hand in there and he comes up and pauses like he is thinking about what you will do next.
I even saw the other little male in the tank he was just as nice but not alpha bc his nuchal hump was lacking. Love these fishAnd people say you can't sex gt's till there big.
It's clear to see that is the dominant male of the tank.
Watch a group of young rivulatus long enough and you will soon spot the males.
