Stunted fish?

This is a bit of a general fish question, but it's about a eclipse catfish at my lfs. I noticed this one catfish looked a bit off, and the store owner said a customer brought it in when they had to move.

Does stunting have many negative long term side effects? And will that catfish grow much bigger?

depends as each fish is different like all living things. In most cases tho a stunted fish will not grow like that of a non-stunted fish, basically it probably won't reach it's maximum growth rate. Mostly will not get much larger. But who really knows only time can tell.
