Hey guys i use to have 2 rbp's 1 year ago that were only about 4 inches long or so but something came up and i had to take down my tank for a while so I gave them to my friend...He has had tht RBP's in a 29 gal for about 1 year now and are the same size as when I gave them to him...But now I have a 60 gal ready to go and my buddy is giving them back to me...SO my question is, Are the piranha's stunted? Or will they get a little bigger in my new 60 gallon..They have never expeirienced a tank bigger then 29 gal so I know they will be living it up!This tank is also a wide and tall not long so I feel like they will have alot of potential growth.

prob stunted, and you will want a wide and long tank since piranhas mostly like the bottom

i kept my first piranha in a 10g tank for 6 month before moving him to a 30g. It grew to almost 7 inches and still going. Still, a year is 2 times as long ...

i had 6 rbp in a 30 gal they grew from 1" - 3" fine except they often attacked eachother til i moved them into a 50 gal

so if your friend's 29 is considered an upgrade, what'd you have them in and for how long?

Sounds like they're stunted to me. They'll grow but shouldn't reach their max potentials

stunt. imo

It's hard to tell without more info. RBP's are known to be good growers averaging around 8" in first year. Was there a powerhead or anything in the tanks? This can really help growth a long with a good mixed diet.

piranhas are 2+ years old and have never been in anything bigger then a 29 gallon tank and are approximately 4 inches...what more do you need to know to determine weither they're stunted?

Time....only time will tell, I doubt they will grow to full potential, but they will still grow.
