:irked: I was doing WCs and ran out of hot water when about to fill my MALs tank, so I turned off the water and waited for it to come back. Unfortunately, the faucet was on a tiny, tiny bit...enough so that when I came back in 30 minutes later the tank had topped up about 20% with freezing water! Fortunately the hot water was back, so I quickly warmed up the tank, and much to my relief, the lungs fine...D'oh!

I always time my water changes around my showers and laundry cycles....LOL

Glad the lungs made it!

this is going to sound really stupid but my lung seems to like cold water

whenever i do a w/c with room temperature water he goes really docile but when its cold water he tries to get as much of the cold water on him as possible, moving right under the jet whenever i put it and being generally more lively and attentive, he also looks much more healthy after he has cooled off, its quite odd

I just got a WAL about three weeks ago and hadn't completely rearranged my fish/reptile room so I decided that I had room right outside the door in the garage. It is spring here so I got everything setup and introduced Mr. Lungerson so his new digs. That night we got a cold snap and the temps in his tank dropped from 82 down to 62. I woke the next morning to find snow on the ground and my heart sank! I went out to expect the worse and found a perfectly happy lung waiting for food. Active as ever and no worse for the wear. Needless to say he was moved that night, but the cold had no effect on him what so ever. Very tough beasts!
