I've got the chance to pick up a small group of yellow labs for free. They are all just a little over two and a half inches in length. My question is: would it be alright to place these labs in my 75 gal. with my large angels, or are the labs fin nippers? This is the only way I could take them as I would need to cycle a new tank for the labs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes they will prolley nip atthe angels plus they both require totally different water perimeters

:iagree:

Labs and Angels = a bad situation for the angels. The Labs will swim circles around them and then tear them apart before they even know what happened.

Water parameters couldn't be any further opposite...

the labs are one of the less rough africans but still too much for angels.

They could both live in same water conditions though I keep mbuna and sa in the same water and dont mess with chemistry, good clean water stable ph is more important than matching wild conditions for most captive bred fish imo.

Thanks, you guys. I've been reading up on the labs, and I see what you mean about the water chemistry requirements. I keep my angels in very soft fairly acidic water with a ton of live plants.

Looks like I'll be cycling that new tank after all.
