Stupid Backorder...

Well I just got a call from my LFS. Seems like I waited a little too long to jump on the AGA 125s w/megaflows they had on sale. They're on back-order now, and I was supposed to get it tomorrow.:irked:

So now I have to play the waiting game until they call me, apparently 1-4 weeks from now. I was wondering if anybody ever had a larger tank they ordered end up on back-order and how long it took to get? I know every case is different but I just was curious what other peoples experiences are with this. I hate waiting.
 
Don't get me started on ordering tanks haha

One of our suppliers for tanks just fails all the time. They fail so hard that we are still waiting on a tank that we ordered from them in November....

We ordered a standard 60 gallon set up, nothing huge or anything.

Oak finish with matching stand and canopy, whole 9 yards. When the order arrived, they sent the stand and canopy.....no tank. WTF,lol

So yeah, it was suppose to arrive next order.......there has been about 5 or more orders since then so I hope they have a better supplier for tanks than we sometimes deal with at work,lol.
 
Yeah I hope it turns out better than that! The store is pretty good. They actually called me today and offered me a perfecto that could be in by the end of the week for $25 off for the trouble, but Ive read way too many positive reviews for AGA/aqueon to just give it up for a little cash. Plus, I guess the bigger reason is, I already bought the lids for an aqueon and my lights would be kinda risky to use on a tank with only 1 brace. Ive heard good things about the Megaflows too, so I chose to just wait.
 
I am sure it will be worth it in the end, but from a retail point of view and a customer point of view, I know how much it sucks since most customers are not as easy going as you seem. They somehow think its the employee's fault that it is late,lol.

We both know that the employee controls shipping...;)
 
Yeah. :) I was understanding. They were nice about it and I don't blame them at all. I'm sure if ordered 2 weeks ago when they first went on sale I would have it now. Its more my fault for waiting so long.
