this is more of a bad beat story than anything:
self imposed for sure but anyways just received 5 oscars and 6 GTs for my 155 gallon tank and the jack dempseys i used to cycle the tank killed my girlfriend's oscar (she thought ruby red Os were really cute) right away. one of mine died and now i have everything that isnt planted out of the tank trying to get 2 of the 3 i havent gotten out and into my other tank to hopefully have them grow larger than the other juveniles so i can put them back in there or give them up for adoption. the only one i managed to get so far is the one that was too badly beaten to swim fast and he looks like he will make a timely recovery. the other 2 have a huge advantage as now the water is cloudy and i have one undersized net. so here i am killing time hoping the Os will slip up and the water will clear a bit, hopefully it wont be the too beaten to move catch i pulled on the last one.
