stupid fish keeping addiction

apparently the days we were taught to just say no, i wasent paying attention.

go into the LFS last night to kill time, and leave with a 3" texas cichlid for $5. go into another one today i havent gone to in a year, and leave with a 4" peacock bass $9.99, and a 4" blackbelt cichlid $12. had to stop myself from buying a 6" real nice loiselli they had too for only $20, only because i dident want to add too many new fish at once.

im hoping im not the only one that just cant say no while at the LFS. im already going to need a 1,000g pond/tank just for the fish got now in my 25- and 75. and theres still more fish to be bought

You're no where near the only one.

Just yesterday I bought a freshwater Crab at this really nice monster LFS that just opened up in my area.

I think the solution is to just leave your wallet at home.

I've come to a conclusion that this isn't a hobby...it's an addiction! I actually have friends hold my wallet if I ever go to a pet store with them.

If you limit your QT space, you will be forced to plan ahead and not make so many impulsive fish purchases.

that's what I do. unless I need something, I don't even bring my wallet.

even that failed me last time, though. I had too many convicts (imagine that) so I took a few to the LFS. The guy told me over the phone he couldn't give me credit for them (because they're convicts, I guess), even though there were 10 of them. I said "doesn't matter, don't have room for any more fish, anyway". I dropped off the cons, and walked out with a brand new baby gold saum.
